The following visualizations should be taken with a grain of salt for a number of reasons, but nevertheless, they reveal some interesting developments.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Total number of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kameli.net\/~marq\/demos-by-year.png\">productions per year<\/a> \u2013 take a look at that peak in 1990!<\/li>\n<li>Productions published <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kameli.net\/~marq\/demos-by-month.png\">each month<\/a> \u2013 big parties clearly visible as peaks.<\/li>\n<li>The relative amount of prods published at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kameli.net\/~marq\/prods-at-parties.png\">parties by year<\/a> \u2013 why bother if there&#8217;s no reward?<\/li>\n<li>Total number of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kameli.net\/~marq\/all-by-platform.png\">productions per platform<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The mother of all demo visualizations: productions per platform <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kameli.net\/~marq\/plat-and-year.png\">throughout the years!<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Edit: one more! <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kameli.net\/~marq\/type-by-year-minus-demos.png\">Production types per year<\/a> excluding demos.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This time in English, again, to serve the international readers \ud83d\ude42 I wrote some scripts to leech the pouet.net database of productions (over 55000 of them!), after which I wrote a Processing sketch to count the statistics, and finally exported the output to NeoOffice to produce some graphs.
