MikroBitti 1/1995, p. 19 Report Illegal Software to a Hotline Number ------------------------------------------- (90) 644 141 BSA has founded a Finnish hotline service where everyone can report illegal software use. Founding the Finnish hotline is one more step in BSA's worldwide fight against software theft and piracy. The BSA hotline can be reached by calling (90) 644 141. A BSA representative answers the calls on weekdays between 9:00 and 16:00, and outside those hours you can submit a report to the answering machine. The service number is meant, for instance, for employees who have to use illegal programs at work or companies that want to move from illegal copies to legal versions. You can also use the hotline for reporting computer and other hardware stores that copy programs or sell them without a proper license. The BSA hotline also provides information and helps with assessing the legality of software. The caller won't face any conseques for calling. Companies using copied software are also taking a risk that they get caught and will be sued for copyright infringement.
